Jean Alterations
At Silver Mine Denim, we understand the importance of the perfect fit. That is why we offer complimenary alterations for any jeans purchased through us. Jeans purchased without alterations will resemble the listed measurements on their respective product page. However, for those who want a specific fit we offer the following alterations for jeans:
Tapering
Custom tapering simply means making the legs of the jean slimmer. There are two components that make up the taper of the jeans: the knee and the leg opening. For more information on these two areas, visit our MEASURING GUIDE. To request a custom taper, simply indicate your desired knee and/or leg opening measurements in their respective fields prior to adding a pair of jeans to your cart. Don't worry, we'll preserve the selvedge ID of the jean when applying a custom taper.
Hemming
Raw denim jeans typically come standard in approximately 34" inseams. If this length is too long, you can either rock your jeans with a cuff, or you can get them hemmed to a specific inseam. Visit our MEASURING GUIDE for more imformation on inseam measurement. To add custom hemming to a pair of jeans, simply type in your desired inseam in the corresponding field prior to adding a pair of jeans to your cart.
What if I'm Not Sure if I Need Alterations?
Want to try a pair of jeans on before altering anything? Simply purchase the jeans you want without any alterations. If you receive your jeans and decide that you want them altered, simply send us an email at info@silverminedenim.com and we can still alter your jeans for you. We will send you a shipping label for you to send the jeans back to us. After we receive your jeans and perform the desired alterations, we will send them right back.
